These sites have a free downloadable software package called Finale Notepad, which "allows musicians to engrave simple music and do interactive editing of their own music in digital format". It also allows Web publishing, allowing you to post compositions for secure digital downloading, showcasing to thousands of musicians online. |

Einojuhani Rautavaara Symphony No:-8. Commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Costs prohibit CD release, but it can be accessed on the Internet. This is a "first" for both the orchestra and the label. Ondine's MD Reijo Kiilunen is keen to develop the idea it seems. |

The Philadelphia site mentioned above has prompted this list. Some sites are recently started and limited. The Gramophone (March) has pertinent comments. A site must be accurate and up to date. Orchestras make music, so the site should have audio clips! Up to now the Halle site has no clips. |
