The page here will cover the places we lived in Trawden.

Family history is something which was kept in Mabel's memory. She never kept a diary and I have been very poor in that respect too. I hope to garner some of it from other sources as time goes on.

9 Lambert Street. (Mabel's birthplace)

T

Bracken Hills, Wycoller

Ing Heys Farm cottage, Laneshaw Bridge

3, Gladstone Terrace.

A terrace of 22 houses.

This was the first house we were able to buy. Both parents worked very hard to get it. Pat and I did a lot of work to repair and improve it. The photo shows it with the second set of new windows. Secondary double glazed I think. The young man with mum is still a very close friend of the family. Sadly we sold the house just before the huge rise in prices last century, after I moved nearer my place of work in 1976.

Church Street, Trawden

A rented cottage in a terrace very near to Lambert Street.

 40, Boulsworth Drive.

A Pendle council bungalow built in the 1930's I think and just about to be given a major update. The odd effects on the rooves are where I had a finger over the lens! Alas I never got a photo of her here. In fact the shot shows it as it appeared after almost 8 months when she was away from it save for about five weeks.
